Position's General Duties and Tasks
-Participates in the development and maintenance of database systems while also performing as a Database development resource to the development team.
-Review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
-Database design and implementation – creating and implement databases that meet requirement while developing data models that represent the structure and relationships within the data.
-Data Analysis and reporting – Analyze data and systems to identify inconsistencies and trends. Develop queries and scripts to help data retrieval and reporting based on development requirements and needs.
-Performance optimization – Optimize databases for performance efficiency by tuning, indexing, and implementing stored procedures. Identify and resolve database issues to ensure stability and reliability.
-Security and Compliance – Implement organization access controls and ensure access is limited to those personnel and systems that are authorized access. Monitor compliance with data governance regulations.
-Collaboration and support – Provide technical support to users and collaborate with developers and other database administrators to implement changes and resolve issues.
-Documentation and monitoring – Develop and provide documentation for all aspects of the database design (schemes, configuration, processes, etc) and monitor systems to provide recommendations for changes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Associate's degree with 2 additional years of experience = bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in database design, normalization, and data modeling supporting a Federal Government agency
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
Minimum 5 years of experience in database management, data analysis, and performance tuning
Minimum 2 years of experience with Oracle
Active Secret Security Clearance
Security+ CE Certification
Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Agile SFDC framework
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is [$71,532 - $149,026]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
