You will be the Operations Engineer Staff, joining the Advanced Programs development team as a Producibility Engineer and IVT support member. Our team is responsible for driving affordability and producibility across our portfolio of development IRADs and production programs, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Engineer to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Operations Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for supporting the development team in driving affordability and producibility initiatives, with a focus on rate to ramp, span reduction, and development design activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, and will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of our development programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Driving affordability and producibility initiatives across the portfolio of development IRADs and production programs
• Supporting rate to ramp, span reduction, and development design activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Providing producibility engineering support to development programs
• Serving as an IVT support member to ensure the successful execution of development programs

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Production knowledge, preferred in missiles, mechanical and electronics
• Knowledge of the product design process
• Must be highly motivated and self-starter
• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing
• Understanding Lean and Six Sigma Techniques. Have facilitated Kaizen, SIA type continuous improvement events
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Must be willing to travel 25-50% depending on work location
• Previous experience driving producibility into product designs
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors or higher degree in an engineering discipline
• Understanding of missile system products, fire control sensors
• Previous MFC program experience
• Experience in design for automation, design for additive
• Experience with manufacturing simulation modeling tools
• Basic to moderate modeling experience in ptc creo, catia v5 or SolidWorks
• Ability to estimate costs and develop cost-effective solutions.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
