Position Overview
Greet and process all visitors to the FAA Technical Center and tenant organizations by verifying valid identification as well as contacting the sponsor/escort. Print out visitor badges, maintain daily visitor spreadsheets, control logs, etc.
Responsibilities
• All visitors are to be processed and logged in using the Visitor Management Program (VMP).
• Ensure visitors adhere to security procedures and screening protocols.
• Operate Technical Center Lenel database, Access Key Credentialing System (AKCS), Visitor Management Program (VMP), digital mapping program of facility, and other related security systems.
• Answer all incoming calls to the Security Operations Center (SOC) and ensure they are directed to the appropriate Government or Contractor personnel.
• Record and maintain records for all employee PIV, CAC, and other tenant cards registered in Lenel.
• Record and maintain the International Visitor control log.
• Develop special badges using the current physical security system as necessary.
• Maintain key log for new keys issued by the locksmith.
• Ensure received Government issued keys turned in by departing FAA, Tenants and Contractor personnel are returned to the Key Control Official.
• Assist with maintaining the Lost and Found program.
• Use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams software applications.
• Enforce security policies and procedures as set forth in general, special, and/or temporary orders in Contract Guard Orders and perform other administrative functions as directed by Project/Site Manager, Contract Guard Supervisor and COR/ACOR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School education or GED equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a social security card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience with computers as a computer operator.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able to type 40 WPM.
• Effective communicator and good writing ability.
• Valid NJ Driver's license.
• Ability to handle office related material such as computer equipment, printout paper, notebooks, ledgers, badge printer.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation for a DOD Secret clearance and pre-employment drug screening.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must have ability to look at a computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk between offices while verifying badge operability.
• Ability to stand for periods of time, occasionally outside, for special badging events.
• Must be able to maintain vigilance while observing the lobby area as well as the front area of parking lot.
