The Plant IT organization is responsible for technical support to the Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) during Construction, Startup, and Commissioning and Operations. The Cybersecurity Supervisor supports the Plant IT organization through assignment to program element activities, implementation of procedural responsibilities, and utilization of accumulated experience and special skills. This position supports preservation of the project's Authorization to Operate under the Department of Energy (DOE) order 2.51.B.

This position also requires Plant IT Cybersecurity support, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DOE, assessing compliance with security technical implementation procedures and or guides, reviewing automated scans, and vulnerability scans. As the leading cyber security subject matter expert for Plant IT, this position may require interfacing with the leadership on technical vulnerabilities, and escalating threats in support of the Cybersecurity Program.

The Plant Engineering Lead is required to interface across functional organizations at all levels, including with DOE, to assist with presentations, group meetings, Continuous Monitoring Activities, Data Calls and development of requirements and project implementation.

The position will execute Plant IT activities ensuring optimum outputs are achieved in the most economic and safe manner while supporting the integrity and infrastructure of the department.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Undertake tasks as assigned
  • Know, understand, and apply the principles of the Nuclear Safety and Quality Culture
  • Know, understand, and apply the principles of the Integrated Safety Management System
  • Coordinate and control assigned aspects of the Plant IT program in order to meet agreed to departmental objectives.
  • Ensure the safe and effective introduction of process improvement and technologies.
  • Apply due diligence in resolving Plant IT issues.


The position will execute Plant IT activities ensuring optimum deliverables are achieved safely with quality and productivity that supports the expectations and integrity of Plant IT. This position is an onsite position.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

The primary duties consist of the development and implementation of the Cybersecurity requirements. As a seasoned professional the successful candidate will work under little supervision and interface with management, cross-discipline organizations, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance to governing documents and security policies and assist in regulatory periodic assessments.
  • Assist Project Personnel with implementation of cybersecurity controls.
  • Assist groups in organizational goals and objectives within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Monitor work group for timely and accurate management procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for secure implementation and compliance in accordance with government regulations and directives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in IT/OT Cyber Security Operations support for ongoing for installed networked industrial control systems.
  • Administration of cybersecurity tools (SIEM, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, etc.)
  • Cybersecurity alert investigation
  • Cybersecurity Incident Response
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and maintenance records.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and lead the work of 2 to 5 analysts assigned to the group
  • Ensure analysts assigned to the group have sufficient resources to complete assignments
  • Ensure analysts assigned to the group obtain and maintain qualifications necessary to perform their tasks
  • Monitor group and individual performance and ensure appropriate communication to management is provided
  • Provide coaching to personnel assigned to the group


Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math or equivalent Information Technology field from a four-year accredited college or university.

Experience: Minimum of ten years of professional experience. Demonstrated experience in the field of IT/OT Cyber Security and one year of experience directing work as an Information Assurance Specialist of projects and personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $131,484.26 - $211,024.41 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
