MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Secure Warehouse Management :
Directs, in accordance with Department of State property management and security regulations, the transfer, storage, tracking, and issuance of expendable and non-expendable supplies, which have been procured for use in Controlled Access Areas. Supervises activities and manages workflow of up to five cleared American employees who are regularly assigned tasks in the Embassy Secure Warehouse (ESW). Manages automated records of all property items in the ESW. Directs annual inventory of ESW; identifies excess property for disposal; plans procurement of: a) stock maintenance parts and supply items (in conjunction with AGSO/Facilities) and b) equipment and supplies necessary for ESW operations. Provides written reports as required by the AGSO/Property. Functions as the primary liason and point of contact for all secured property in the Embassy. Responsible for a working knowledge of the property workflows of the all the other sections utilizing secured property.
Overseas Toner supply for the entire Embassy
Responsible for maintaining an adequate stock of toner for all the Embassy printers, as all toner cartridges must be procured securely. Works with IM to facilitate that toner accompanies newly procured printers. Works to streamline the different types of printers in service in the Embassy to simplify toner ordering and stocking. Reports associated ICASS toner usage workload counts to Financial Management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
Assists in planning the development or procurement of software applications for Property operations; plans and oversees basic maintenance and backup regimes for mini-LANs located in each warehouse. Oversees or assists with AGSO/Property operations required for VIP visits. Performs or manages other tasks as directed by AGSO/Property. Acts as back-up auctioneer at the GSO property sales as needed. Functions as back-up secured procurement clerk as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21 years or age or older, have completed secondary school or obtained a GED, and possess a valid US driver's license. Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Must be computer literate, with experience in automated inventory management
databases. Must have a minimum of three years' experience in warehousing, inventory management, and/or supply chain management: specialized training in these fields, or a
degree in operations management or business administration can be substituted for up to two years work experience. Must have three years supervisory experience. Must be able
to operate lift trucks and other materials handling equipment. Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor regularly; 40 pounds lifting required. A Top Secret clearance is required.
