Job Title: Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ
Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI with Poly eligible) – U.S. Citizenship Required
Overview
The successful candidate will develop and implement 6DoF missile simulation models to evaluate system performance, focusing on missile flight dynamics, autopilot, and guidance algorithms. This role requires strong technical expertise in C++, MATLAB, and Python with experience integrating GN&C solutions into real-time missile flight code.
Responsibilities
Develop, verify, and validate 6DoF missile flight simulators.
Design and implement Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) algorithms.
Support creation and maintenance of Interface Control/Requirement/Description Documents.
Review GNC workshare requirements and model hardware.
Participate in international partner program meetings (weekly/monthly).
Provide technical input on trajectory optimization and missile system performance.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s in STEM + 2 yrs exp OR Master’s + 1 yr exp OR PhD (0 yrs).
Active DoD Secret clearance (current & in-scope).
Hands-on experience in Autopilot design for guided missiles.
Proficiency with C++ (Linux), MATLAB, and Python toolchains.
Experience with high-fidelity 6DoF missile simulations.
Knowledge of missile guidance & autopilot algorithms.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Eligible to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Poly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hypersonic missile systems.
Familiarity with AEGIS weapon system.
Background in IR discrimination & tracking.
