This System Engineer will be an integral part of our enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! They will be responsible for supporting the Windows environments within DarkStar. The selected candidate will closely work with the larger DarkStar system administration and network teams. They must be comfortable working in an environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers and supercomputers. Responsibilities will include system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, patching and maintenance. Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, and etc protocols and system network tuning and configuration. This role will support other BA needs up to 25% of their time.

Basic Qualifications:
• DoD SECRET clearance with ability to upgrade to TOP SECRET
• Demonstrated experience with configuring and maintaining Windows OS environments (Physical and virtual)
• Experience with Active Directory administration, including health checks and troubleshooting
• Experience with Group Policy Object configuration and administration
• Experience with Windows Updates and patching (WSUS). Offline WSUS experience a plus.
• General understanding of IT systems
• Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
• Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation may be required, involving occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work to ensure timely resolution of critical system issues and provide support for high-priority operations.
• CompTIA Sec+ Certification
Desired Skills:
• Experience with implementing and applying STIGs to systems
• Experience with McAfee and EPO/ENS
• Experience with Chocolatey, a Windows package manager, including creating and managing packages, configuring package sources, and automating software deployments using Chocolatey scripts and integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and/or Windows OS image building processes
• Experience with script writing, PowerShell, Ansible, Python or other automation/scripting too
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
