As the most lethal, survivable, and connected fighter aircraft in the world, the F-35 is critical to national defense, enhances global partnerships, and fuels economic growth. The F-35 Training and Logistics (T&L) team plays a key role in supporting the mission by ensuring the program delivers compliant, high-quality proposals that help sustain and expand this vital capability.

THE WORK

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager (Level 4) to lead proposal efforts in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Intra-Lockheed Quotation (RFIQ), and related solicitations. As a key member of the Proposal Core Team, you will:

Independently manage the end-to-end proposal process

Plan and coordinate the production and delivery of compliant, compelling proposals

Provide proposal guidance to cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams

Communicate proposal status, metrics, and risks to stakeholders and leadership

Identify potential risks to timely, compliant proposal delivery and implement mitigation strategies

Serve as a trainer and mentor to proposal teams and junior proposal managers

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 6+ years of experience or equivalent experience
Experience managing proposal teams on military proposals
Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Desired Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Experience performing in sole source proposal environment
Prior F-35 TLS experience
Understanding of Truth in Negotiations (TINA) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) ramifications for proposal production
Familiarity with LM RMS genBOE, P2P, PAS tool sets
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
