Description:
You will be the Mechanical Design Engineering and Technology Manager (ETM) for the Tactical Missions Advanced Programs (TMAP) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and demonstrating advanced missile systems, working closely with program leadership and Chief Engineers to resolve hardware issues in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design ETM, you will be responsible for leading a team of ~10 direct reports, serving as a design engineer and project lead, and managing technical data packages, 3D models, and fabrication of test and flight hardware.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading design engineering efforts and managing project timelines
• Developing and managing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and 3D models using Creo/Windchill
• Collaborating with procurement, production operations, and customer counterparts
• Providing technical coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members
• Managing employee development, performance assessments, and salary planning

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
-Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance
-Engineering experience, preferably including task planning, budget management, subcontract management, and/or employee development and mentoring.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including diplomatic issue resolution.
-Creo/Windchill experience and skills.
-Component/assembly design experience.
-Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking.

- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Earned Value Management Experience
- Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
