THE WORK
We are seeking a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer to active engage with system design engineers in the development of new designs/configurations.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop high availability architectures for complex systems including radar and alternative energy platforms
• Participate in system/element design reviews, presentations, and meetings with customer and with other contractors
• Acquire and integrate unit level RMA (Reliability, Maintainability & Availability) data into reliability block diagrams and mathematical models to project system level RMA characteristics
• Conduct R&M testing and statistical evaluation of test data
• Review equipment failure data, identify RMA problems and assess corrective action
• Execute Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analyses and Fault Tree Analyses
• Prepare formal reports and presentations to customers describing the results of the analyses and assessments
• Interface with various program offices/customer and be responsible for leading a complete job
• Complete predictions and be able to discuss R&M areas of improvements with design engineers
• Optimize sparing based on system architectures, reliability predictions, and deployment profiles
• Partner with system design team and develop RMA system model using Avsim tool
• Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering; math; physics; computer science; or equivalent degree
• Two or more years of full time engineering experience
• Experience in RMA engineering or analysis of engineering processes
• Demonstrated ability to perform system level trade studies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• RMA experience in a diversity of sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems.
• Active DoD clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
