ManTech seeks a motivated and career-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions. This role directly supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization-the foundation of all Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) for MPO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Identify and resolve performance and capacity issues in Linux systems, and support hardware-related problem resolution and dispatching
- Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Install operating system software, troubleshoot system issues, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide help desk customer service via phone, tickets or in person
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 6:00am-6:00pm and may be assigned to an evening patching schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree with 15 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of relevant experience
- Experience with configuring, maintaining and modernizing a Linux OS environment
- Experience with patching Linux OS environments to meet security compliance requirements
- IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/ or SSCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with configuring, scripting, and managing Unix, RHEL and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Scanboy
- Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system
- Familiarity using LatteART
- Familiarity with Enclave environments
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer desks
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
