Position Overview
QSS is seeking a highly skilled Database Developer with strong AWS Cloud expertise to
design, implement, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable database solutions. The
ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, cloud-based
architecture, DevOps automation, and full-stack development, ensuring seamless
integration across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases including
PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
• Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, queries, and indexes
to support application performance and scalability.
• Architect and implement AWS-based database solutions leveraging services like
EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS
CodePipeline for database deployments.
• Collaborate on solution architecture to ensure scalability, security, and high
availability.
• Integrate database components into full-stack solutions, including front-end
technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or
Vue.js.
• Work in an Agile environment to develop, test, and deliver high-quality database
driven applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for provisioning
and managing database infrastructure.
• Set up and manage development, test, and production database environments.
• Perform data migration, schema design, and modeling activities to support
application updates and system integrations.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure optimal database
functionality.
• Monitor database performance and apply optimizations, bug fixes, and security
patches as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation and perform knowledge transfer to support long
term sustainability.
Required Skills & Experience
• AWS Cloud expertise with experience in EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway,
DynamoDB.
• Strong database design and development skills for both relational and NoSQL
platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go for backend development and
automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Agile software development experience.
Desired Skills
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer,
Developer).
• Experience integrating APIs and automated testing tools.
• Experience working within secure government or enterprise cloud environments.
Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
preferred.
• Equivalent work experience will be considered.
