Job Description
- Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
- Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
- Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
- Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
- Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- May serve as a team or task lead
Education and Experience
- BA/BS or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience
- 2+ years specifically operating and managing AWS infrastructure.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Must possess the required DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification(Security+CE preferred)
- Location: On customer site
- Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure to include EC2, S3, EBS, VPCs, Security Groups and IAM policies
- Knowledge of AWS Route 53 DNS service, AWS RDS Services, AWS KMS and AWS Lambda.
- Experience building/deploying AMIs in AWS and deploying products from the AWS Marketplace
- Experience scripting against AWS CLI.
- Understanding of on-premise to cloud connectivity using VPNs & AWS DirectConnect
- Experience with managing & monitoring cloud-based infrastructure, security, and application environments
