As a key contributor to the sales organization, the Lead Principal Architect provides expert technical guidance and strategic support to AT&T Public Sector Solutions customers. This role ensures seamless design and integration of Wireline, Wireless, and IT products and services by delivering sophisticated, innovative solutions tailored to complex customer needs. Through a combination of pre-sales technical consulting and collaboration with delivery teams, the Lead Principal Architect plays a vital role in driving unit sales objectives and customer success.

Our Lead Principal Architect's earn a base salary between $128,200 - $192,200 + commission with a total target compensation of $160,700 - $224,700. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic enterprise architecture vision by aligning customers' data and communication requirements with AT&T's technology portfolio and industry best practices.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to assess business objectives, technology landscapes, and operational challenges, developing holistic solutions that drive long-term value and scalability.
- Translate complex technical concepts and architectural frameworks into clear, actionable strategies for diverse audiences, including executive leadership and technical teams.
- Monitor and analyze emerging industry trends, regulatory mandates, and federal security standards to ensure enterprise architectures are compliant, secure, and future-ready.
- Architect comprehensive, integrated solutions encompassing system design, software applications, network infrastructure, and security controls that address customer needs and risk profiles.
- Evaluate existing customer environments to identify gaps and opportunities for innovation, recommending transformational approaches that improve efficiency, resilience, and security.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor within the architecture community, fostering knowledge sharing, best practice adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in technical and strategic roles within telecommunications or IT, with a proven focus on enterprise architecture and developing comprehensive, forward-looking communication solutions.
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with CIOs and other C-suite executives as well as diverse technical and business stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of federal security standards, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks critical to enterprise data and communication environments.
- Proactive and continuous learner of emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices, leveraging this expertise to advise and shape transformative enterprise communication architectures aligned with customer strategic priorities.
- Self-driven and consultative leader skilled in navigating complex enterprise challenges, delivering insightful, actionable recommendations that drive business value and long-term customer success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possession of relevant industry technical certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) demonstrating validated expertise.
- Strong familiarity with SD-WAN architectures, including design, deployment, and management of software-defined wide area networks.
- Proven experience in developing compelling, competitive offer designs that have successfully secured strategic deals and driven business growth.
- Experience integrating advanced network solutions such as 5G wireless, Low Earth Orbit Satellites (LEOS), and Ethernet to enable robust connectivity in challenging and diverse environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-centric solutions that align with business objectives.
- Demonstrated track record of collaborating cross-functionally to craft innovative offers tailored to market demands and client requirements.
