A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Lead the creation and review of comprehensive documentation sets across GCCS-J baselines
• Mentor junior writers and provide quality oversight for the documentation team
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product owners, and government stakeholders to translate technical requirements into mission-ready documentation
• Manage the conversion of legacy documents into RST, Markdown, and other modern formats
• Deliver clear, compliant, and effective communication products aligned with DoD standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Communications, or related field
• 8+ years of technical writing or editing experience
• Proven ability to lead documentation projects or teams
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and technical publishing workflows
• U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive DoD or GCCS-J program experience
• Advanced knowledge of RST, Sphinx, HTML, or secure documentation practices
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs, C2 systems, and Agile methodologies
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance highly preferred
