A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Assist in writing, defining, and validating system requirements for GCCS-J baselines and enhancements
• Work closely with the Systems Engineering team to support system lifecycle processes and requirement traceability
• Support design concepts, criteria, and engineering approaches for research, development, integration, and test
• Participate in Agile development processes across the lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
• Interface with developers, testers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with system requirements and emerging standards
• Contribute to documentation and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
• Gain exposure to mission-critical DoD Command and Control (C2) technology and enterprise-scale system integration
Focus Areas

• Exposure to C2 technologies (preferred but not required at this level)
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field
• 0–3 years of systems engineering or related technical experience
• Understanding of systems lifecycle, analysis, development, and management
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods
• Knowledge of DoDAF models or DoD system architecture frameworks
• Exposure to C2 systems, GCCS-J, or defense programs
• Experience with virtual environments (VMWare, Linux/Windows administration)
• Strong motivation to learn and grow in DoD systems engineering
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance highly preferred
