Job Title: Capture Manager
Job Summary:
K2 Solutions is seeking an experienced Capture Manager to create capture management plans and efforts to progress the strategic direction for K2 and its business development activities. The Capture Manager must be a self-starter who is innately flexible, can work in a fast-paced environment, and has a collegial attitude. The Manager must be customer-oriented and able to readily identify opportunities that fit within K2's business areas and customer sets.
Detailed Responsibilities:
• Serve as leader in developing new business and strategic partnerships in both DoD and commercial markets.
• Foster, promote and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide services and capabilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues (executive, leadership and peers) to identify new Government and commercial opportunities.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of all business development activities.
• Assess potential business opportunities by analyzing market segment potential and makes recommendations to the executive team for pursuit of the selected opportunities.
• Establish relationships with government and commercial entities.
• Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Oversee development of capture Plan that outlines the way forward to win the work with identified milestones, key activities, events and relationships. Submit costing forecast that shows the cost of the proposal as well as the estimated cost of the contract.
• Provide guidance and assistance in capture plan development, teaming agreements and subcontracts and financial business case development.
• Identify resources, partnerships required to achieve a winning strategy.
• Determine value added discriminators to place K2 in a competitive win environment.
• Ensure accuracy of financial projections and BD reports to include backlog, waterfall and future program projections as well as current opportunities.
• Protects K2's value by keeping information confidential.
• Win 30% of new work bid and achieve no less than 10% growth in new revenue generation annually.
• Accurately/objectively develop and validates facts with analysis and present the opportunity business case at management reviews to facilitate business decisions by senior management.
• Serve as team reviewer for proposal efforts that originate within the PMO shop.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field of study or 6-10 years of directly related experience in Business and Business Leadership
• Established, successful career within BD in DoD space, preferably within the Washington, DC area.
• 10 years minimum of successful DoD business development
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Established relationships with Government sponsors.
Preferred Skills:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Certified Professional Capture Manager (CPCM)
• Certified Expert Capture Manager (CECM)
• DOD experience and familiarity with the SOF community.
