Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Appian Developer SME to support a critical intelligence and analytics program in the D.C. Metropolitan area. The team is seeking a full stack developer skilled with designing low-code automation platforms such as Appian or Appian based applications.
Clearance: Top Secret/ SCI - ability to obtain CI Polygraph
Location: Reston, VA, JBAB Washington D.C., Annapolis Junction, MD

Responsibilities of the Appian Developer:
Qualifications of the Appian Developer:
· 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
· 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree or equivalent 10+ years of professional experience Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
· Ability to complete development work on the high-side Linux environment
· Java/Python experience (any level of experience)
· Backend Database experience with either MongoDB or Postgres
· Appian experience (minimum of 2 year experience designing, developing or supporting Appian)
Compensation of the Appian Developer:
· Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $200,000+
· Full Benefits: PTO, Sick leave as required by law, Holidays, 401K, Medical Dental Vision coverage
· Opportunity to upgrade security clearance (CI Polygraph)
· Hybrid work, will start fully remote for (1-4 months)

Responsibilities of the Appian Developer:
- Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to identify the most suitable software and web technologies that align with client objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software systems based on documented specifications, contributing to system architecture and following established design standards.
- Create intuitive user interfaces, maintain comprehensive technical documentation, and uphold software quality through rigorous testing and validation.
- Recommend development methodologies, evaluate emerging technologies, and resolve complex software issues.
- Enhance system performance and design by integrating new solutions with existing applications.
