Virtualization Engineer

We are in need of a System Engineer to support the administration and engineering of a Citrix environment for a government client. A qualified candidate will have experience in supporting Citrix infrastructure back-end as it relates to large enterprises to include the following components of a Citrix Server Farm: Citrix Provisioning Server, SQL Database, Citrix License Server, Delivery Controller, Citrix Director, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Studio, Citrix Gateway, Hypervisor, Citrix XenApp, Citrix VDI.

Top Secret clearance is required. Must be willing to sit for a CI Poly.

The preferred candidate will be able to:

• Install, configure, implement, and validate installation of components on networks including but not limited to:
• Citrix XenServer and XenApp
• Citrix Components: Delivery Controller. Storefront. Federal Authentication Server (FAS) Licensing
• Citrix Netscaler MPX (FIPS)
• Citrix - Version 22+, currently on 2402, the team is okay if candidate is lighter on the Citrix side if their PowerShell skillset is stronger, experience with deploying and configuring controllers, need to have more experience with Virtual vs. Netscaler, MCS is preferred over PVS (PVS is not used).
• Microsoft (current Version) Hyper-V Manager
• Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
• Hypervisors and virtualization sub-systems
• PowerShell scripting
• Splunk - Splunk Deployment Server / Universal Forwarder (9.4.3), dashboard experience.
• Must have 5 or more years of related experience with a BS in a related field to computer science, otherwise 10 years of related experience. If utilizing in lieu of education, all experience must be at or above the position level described above.
• Top Secret clearance is required, and a CI poly will be conducted and is reoccurring. Please ensure they understand that sometimes other entity's polys are not accepted.
• Position is 100% on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
• That the core hours are 9AM-3PM EST, support time is 6AM-6PM (M-F) EST, there is no option for 9/80 schedule or remote.
• Some of the team is off site in Quantico, VA; so candidate must be able to thrive in that type of multi-site support environment.
• Must be senior level, proactive, disciplined, leadership traits - this person is the last line of defense for troubleshooting issues or the person to supply that high level of critical thinking for the team.
