As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for enabling a new and innovative service line within Google Cloud. This team will function as a product deployment and support, with a strong emphasis on customer experience. In this role, you will provide both remote and on-site support for the deployment of new cloud capacity and technologies. You will possess a strong customer focus and meticulous attention to detail. You will be responsible for upholding clearly defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and contributing to their enhancement through continuous improvement feedback. You will be involved in direct interaction with an upcoming program and will require navigating a high degree of ambiguity.
This role will require up to 50% travel as needed. You must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with network protocols and diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware and server hardware.
- Experience with assembly of mechanical or electrical systems, or performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
- Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment as required and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting.
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience collaborating and partnering with teams.
- Experience with networking protocols and performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.

Responsibilities
- Understand and support capacity deployment, including build milestones and timelines.
- Install and configure specialty hardware including servers, networking equipment, and cooling infrastructure.
- Perform hardware maintenance, including part replacement and cable installation, following defined processes.
- Utilize software tools for job functions, including inventory management and OS configuration/troubleshooting.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of documentation for new platforms and support activities.
