Duties
Help
  • You will be responsible for the reviewing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating Center training curricula within the NETC domain and ensure individual training requirements are sound and meet the needs in support of the training program.
  • You will consult on development of alternatives and recommendations to resolve program deficiencies, and presents information and decision briefings to assist leadership on decision-making for the execution of assigned programs.
  • You will develop and review feasibility and fielding plans, oversee the selections of instructional media types, enforce train-the-trainer and course piloting implementation.
  • You will provide advice and guidance on the technology, design, development, evaluation, implementation and configuration management of training content to include computer-based (PC) simulation and training system acquisition planning.
  • You will be responsible for the direct supervision and product development of all subordinate employees to include a team of civilians, military, and contractor support staff.
  • You will distributes work, establishes deadlines and reviews products for accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • You will improve work methods, business practices, processes and procedures; oversee the development of technical data, estimates and other analytical information required for work products.
  • You will develop Branch consumable supply list and proposed travel schedule, authorize travel approved by leadership, approve leave and certify time and attendance; develop performance standards and annual performance assessment critical elements.
  • You will receive and resolve employee complaints, escalate unresolved complaints to higher authority supervisor/manager, and executes minor disciplinary measures such as verbal and written warnings and reprimands.
  • You will recommend employee awards, bonuses and within grade increases, provide military Fitness Report (FITREP) evaluation and award inputs, develop and modify position descriptions, and interviews candidate for positions.
  • You will create employee training development plans and manage regular employee professional development training.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and creating employee training development plans (i.e.-employee professional development training to include computer-based (PC) simulation and training system acquisition planning, performance standards and annual performance assessment critical elements) and ensured individual training requirements are met; 2) Managing product delivery schedules, costs, and oversees which elements and phases require contracting, recommending contract modifications, amendments, waivers, etc. in the procurement process; 3) Facilitating short/long term goals and priorities by assigning work based on difficulty, requirements, and the skills of the employee, reviewing work for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring project deadlines are met, approving time off request, and certifying time and attendance; 4) Evaluating employee work performance and assigning annual performance ratings, recommending employee awards, bonuses and within grade increases; 5) Adjudicating work problems presented by subordinates, customers, and contractors by hearing and resolving employee complaints, executing minor disciplinary measures such as verbal and written warnings and reprimands, and escalating unresolved issues to higher leadership, and; 6) Creating, coordinating, and presenting communication verbally and in writing (e.g., letters, emails, instructions, reports, position descriptions, point papers, action plans) to convey information to higher level leadership and subordinates at interagency conferences, working groups, and briefings.
