About The Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and various Federal agencies. In this role, you'll apply a multi-disciplinary approach to engineering and integration efforts that ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and resilient GEOINT capabilities.
You'll work closely with government stakeholders and technical teams to translate mission needs into innovative, scalable solutions-while supporting the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept through deployment.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct systems engineering across disciplines: requirements development, solution design, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, testing, evaluation, and maintainability.
- Perform planning and analysis of user requirements, architecture traceability, and system workflows to optimize performance.
- Review cloud capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations to identify opportunities for system improvement or automation.
- Develop solutions designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
- Translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements.
- Support requirements allocation to architecture components and across execution programs.
- Perform system integration across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
- Assist in conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Action (CoA) development, trade studies, and engineering assessments.
- Contribute to strategic technical planning, performance engineering, project management, risk mitigation, and interface design efforts.

Required:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or MIS
- OR 4 additional years of relevant experience (no degree)
- OR 2 additional years of experience (with a non-STEM degree)
- Experience:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in government or industry
- Background in one or more of the following:
- DoD/IC Acquisition Process
- Requirements or PPBES Process
- Systems engineering for large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments
- 6+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience
- Domain Knowledge:
- Familiarity with NSG/ASG and NRO missions
- Prior work on NGA, NSG/ASG, or other IC/DoD programs
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Digital Engineering practices
- Experience using Imagery Exploitation tools
- Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including tools and processes
- Familiarity with software development principles and life cycle
- INCOSE ASEP (Associate Systems Engineering Professional) certification
- Documented experience in the geospatial field
- Active membership or participation in relevant professional organizations such as:
- ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, USGIF
- Background in:
- Photogrammetry
- Remote sensing
- Image science
- Information sciences
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Geomatics or related fields
