Job Title: Business Intelligence Consultant
Job Location: Reston, VA 20170
Onsite Requirements:
* Business Intelligence
* Build and manage automated data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources (e.g., monitoring metrics, KPI dashboards, operational systems).
* Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Grafana) and SQL. Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
Job Description:
* As a member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team, you will be responsible for developing dashboards, tools, and data solutions that track and analyze organizational performance, trends, and patterns.
* You will work closely with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements, design business solutions, and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools.
* Write, test, and debug code to support new data solutions and BI capabilities.
* Enhance and maintain existing BI solutions based on clear business requirements.
* Build and manage automated data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources (e.g., monitoring metrics, KPI dashboards, operational systems).
* Develop a unified reporting framework to streamline access to key data across stakeholders.
* Perform data analysis using techniques ranging from basic aggregation to advanced statistical methods and data mining.
* Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
* Collaborate with business leaders and project stakeholders to identify and refine analytical requirements.
* Continuously develop expertise in assigned solutions, technologies, development processes, and the broader BI ecosystem.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
* 3-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a related area.
* Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Grafana) and SQL.
* Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
