Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Cloud Network Engineer for a large government client that provides enterprise IT support for U.S Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)
Project Details / Mission Supported:
• Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) is a component command of the U.S Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which oversees all special operations forces from different branches of the U.S Military. JSOC works to ensure that different special operations units can work together effectively and that they are equipped with compatible gear.
• This role involves designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining the global cloud network infrastructure for Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) within the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• CCNA, CCNP desired
• 5+ years of related experience
• Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations
• Good communications skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
• Can effectively deliver training; possess good consulting skills
• Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problem
• Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II required
• Must closely follow network protocols and methodology
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs
• Expert level knowledge of the OSI model, common network protocols, TCP/UDP ports, and common network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, wireshark, etc)
• Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor network issues in the WAN and work with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other network configuration issues
Location: Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC
Onsite expectation: 100% on-site
Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Salary/Pay range: $115,000-$125,000/yearly
NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment*
