Platform Engineer- TS/SCI w/ Poly

This position requires TS/SCI security clearance with C.I. polygraph. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is hiring a Platform Engineer. The Ideal candidate will have general experience in both traditional infrastructure provisioning of platform resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has basic experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies.

This is an on-site role based in Richardson, TX requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.

Day in the Life:

• Leverage company and industry with the best practices and capabilities to develop and communicate implementation, of infrastructure solutions
• Maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs
• Assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare
• Ensure that the COTS stack and versioning and will work with the team to make updates as necessary
• Engaged in the daily implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS
• Involved with implementation of traditional computing/network/storage systems and related software updates, as well as maintaining operating systems and existing server hardware designs, and supporting the design and development of new modernized system designs as needed
• Travel to customer sites to assist with system updates and deliveries when necessary

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• US Citizen with TS/SCI security clearance with C.I. polygraph
• Undergo a comprehensive background investigation
• BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics
• 3 years of related work experience
• Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
• VMware
• Programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions
• Experience with basic Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts
• Experience with modernization technologies such as Terraform/Ansible, Artifactory, xray, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Sonarqube etc

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
Full benefits: $87,000 to $109,000 annually
Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): Up to $117,000 annually
