General Description: STi plans, organizes, directs and controls NUWCDIVKPT’s Test, Training and Evaluation (TT&E) of Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems and Operational Readiness Assessment support for Acquisition and Fleet customers. STi conducts system evaluation activities throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle including technology development, system design, development, production, and in-service readiness assessment. In performance of Test and Evaluation, STi plans and executes test programs; provides test environments that closely approximate war-fighting environments; provides methods for measuring system performance in those environments; and conducts performance analysis and evaluation of the systems under test. STi provides T&E planning, test execution and analytical support. STi supports Analysis and Assessment, Fleet Material Readiness, Signatures and Susceptibility and other Product Areas.
Job Description:
Motorboat Operator, during underway operations, will support operations, maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure successful operations in keeping with standard maritime engineering practices. When operating a vessel you shall maintain desired courses, using compasses or electronic navigation aids. STi's Motorboat Operator will give recommendations for repairs, fuel and organize supplies for vessel.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for piloting and navigating vessels, ensuring safe and efficient passage through waterways.
Oversees the operation of boats and watercraft, including navigation, maintenance, and supply management.
Guides and steers boats, yachts, or ships through water routes, utilizing navigational tools and expertise.
Manages the logistics of boat operations, including route planning, fuel management, and supply coordination.
Assumes command of vessels, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, efficient navigation, and effective communication with crew and passengers.
As a Motorboat Operator you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our range craft to keep them operating at their best. You'll conduct regular checks, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs on equipment such as generators, pumps, and more. Your expertise will help ensure smooth sailing during operations. Additionally, you'll assist in navigating and ensuring the vessel stays on course. Your role will also involve recommending repairs, organizing supplies, and contributing to overall operational success.
Note:
Every candidate must possess a valid boat license issued by the state of Washington. Those who do not currently hold this license will be required to obtain one.
