II Corps is looking for an employee to serve as an Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS) within the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Training Division (TD). Background: The Expeditionary Warfare Training Group (EWTG), operating through both Pacific (EWTGPAC) and Atlantic (EWTGLANT) commands, serves as the premier training organization for Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) and Joint Fires Observers (JFOs) within the U.S. military's expeditionary warfare framework. The Joint Fires Observer Course (JFOC) trains select joint personnel in engaging targets with AC-130, naval surface fires, indirect surface fires, and on procedures for providing timely and accurate targeting information to qualified Joint Terminal Attack Controllers for close air support, terminal attack controls, and conducting terminal guidance operations. As part of the Marine Corps' broader modernization efforts, EWTG supports the service's ambitious goal to qualify at least one Marine in every rifle squad as a JFO, The training leverages advanced simulation capabilities, including the Combined Arms Virtual Environment (CAVE) and Joint Expeditionary Tactical Trainer (JETT), to provide realistic training environments where students practice tactical control of aircraft and supporting arms integration. This mission directly enhances the lethality and operational effectiveness of forward-deployed forces by ensuring they can accurately direct and control multiple fire support assets simultaneously in complex operational environments.

Role and Responsibilities - Candidate will:

• Serve as primary instructor assisting the EWTGs in conducting Joint Fires Observer (JFO) Instruction and Tactical Air Control Party(TACP) Instruction.
• Provide formal classroom instruction in accordance with the JFO and TACP Programs of Instruction (POIs) and provide subject matter expert (SME) support for observed fire procedures for the JFO Course. Training must comply with all elements of the JFO MOA and provide input into the coordination of policy, guidance and documentation for implementation and sustainment of the Marine Corps' the JFO program.
• Recommend and coordinate development and implementation of upgrades on current scenarios and development of new scenarios to maintain relevancy of simulator training for both Close Air Support (CAS) and ground-based fire support modules.
• Prepare lesson plans for each period of instruction for which he/she is assigned instructional responsibility. This must reflect the material content and methodology required to achieve the instructional objectives.
• Participate as SME in developing revisions to POIs, lesson plans and training support packages (TSPs) in support of Joint Fires Observer and TACP instruction.
• Maintain the POI and lesson plans by incorporating lessons learned, doctrine, and current evolving TTPs into the POI via the USMC Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) Model.
• Instruct Joint call for fire / CAS procedures using approved USMC Call for Fire Simulators / Trainers (MSAT, CAVE or DVTE).
• Participate in the Instructor Education Process to become a qualified instructor in the schoolhouse.
◦ Graduate of the Marine Corps’ Facilitate Learning Experience (FLEX) course or another service-level formal school instructor course is DESIRED… but not required.

Candidate must:

• Have prior experience as either as a certified FO, JFO, FAC, FAC(A), or JTAC
• Have recent experience in fire support TTPs and execution
• Have confidence in teaching and presenting material in a classroom and field environment
• Be able to instruct and teach basic call for fire procedures required of the Joint Fires Observer (JFO) or Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) as per the JFO or JTAC MOA requirements
• Have recent and relevant CFF/CAS experience
• Be capable of providing assessments and evaluations of student performance in accordance with the POI and tailor individual training sessions as needed to remediate
• Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
