As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance.

Serves as a senior subject matter expert to the U.S. Embassy Baghdad's Logistics Management Center (LMC), advising the Department of State and other agencies on transportation operations, checkpoint clearance processes, and intra-Iraq movement procedures. Liaises with GOI agencies to facilitate approvals and ensures the secure and efficient delivery of fuel, mail, and mission-critical supplies throughout Iraq.

SENIOR LOGISTICS ADVISOR (SME) TO LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT CENTER (LMC) Responsibilities Include:

At U.S. Embassy Baghdad, provide technical advice to the DoS staff and other agencies on all matters regarding transportation operations and processes required to obtain movement approvals throughout Iraq.

Advise the U.S. Department of State on assigned transportation projects, work to implement various tracking and other transportation and management tools.

Prepares all necessary documents to clear internal Iraqi checkpoints and provides logistical support to ensure passage of essential commodities and supplies transiting Iraq to the Embassy.

Work in close coordination with expeditors, contractors, and GOI officials. Prepare the necessary documentation in Arabic for submission to GOI officials and entities involved in the shipments with the goal of ensuring an efficient logistical chain within Iraq.

A Prime Minister's National Operational Center (PMNOC) approval is required for all movements into, around, and out of Iraq. Facilitate these processes for all DOS, DOD, Coalition, and contractor entities

BOC Approvals and some PMNOC requests require additional approvals from the Baghdad Operations Center

Oil Police Approvals an Oil police approval is required for all fuel movement into, around, and out of Iraq

Command Joint Operation Center (CJOC) approvals are required for all movements to and from K-Crossing, Erbil, and everything moving west and north in Iraq

Submit PMNOC request for all movements to include food, mail, and fuel for all Iraq

Send PMNOC approvals to the vendors after receiving from PMNOC

Assist companies and vendors to clear their drivers when they face issues at check points by calling PMNOC, CJOC, and BOC

Review the draft packet and return any needed corrections before submittal to the PMNOC

Counsel staff on the resolution of non-routine problems regarding clearances' movement and identify problem areas that cannot be resolved at the action officer level

Develop reports that summarize and forecast transportation trends that highlight potential service short falls

Support DOS in understanding, informing, and coordinating on special projects

Consult with DOS personnel at the U.S. Embassy Baghdad to evaluate expectations regarding transportation requirements.

Perform a range of consulting duties to include advising on coordination programs, may compose, type, edit and distribute agendas and minutes of meetings

Assist in the preparation of reports, perform basic information gathering, and monitoring contractually assigned tasks for any transportation operation relating to DOS.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
