The Executive Assistant and Cultural Advisor at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) provides high-level administrative and cultural support to the BDSC Director. This dual-role position combines executive assistance with vital cross-cultural guidance, helping ensure smooth operations and communications across U.S. and Iraqi stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing key contact lists, coordinating meetings, supporting diplomatic correspondence, translating and transcribing official communications, and monitoring internal reporting. The advisor also acts as a liaison for morale and community engagement initiatives, helping new personnel acclimate to post life and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment. Fluency in Arabic and English, strong organizational skills, and discretion are essential, along with a Secret clearance.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range: Pay commensurate with experience.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT AND CULTURAL ADVISOR Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of office management experience; OR a two (2) year college degree in Office Management, Business Administration, Computer Technology, Web Development or other related field together with two (2) years of office management experience

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Must be able to organize routine data and maintain established procedures.

Must be able to work with all levels of the Embassy and the general public operating courteously and tactfully.
