The Contract Management Support Specialist at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) plays a key administrative and logistical role within the Contract Management Office (CMO). This position supports U.S. Department of State (DOS) personnel by managing contract files, coordinating inspections and deliveries, and providing technical guidance on program reviews, reporting, and project planning. The specialist assists in daily office operations including scheduling, data management, report drafting, travel coordination, and protocol support for official events. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience working in high-security diplomatic environments. A bachelor's degree or ten years of related experience is required, along with a Secret clearance and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Contract Management Support Specialist BDSC: Pay commensurate with experience.

Contract Management Support Specialist BDSC Responsibilities Include:

The Logistics Support Specialist/Advisor provides office management, logistics support, and technical guidance to the Contract Management Office (CMO) staff at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC).

Assist DOS CMO personnel with basic information gathering, creation and maintenance of contract related reports and files

Coordinates with CMO staff to conduct service inspections and commodities deliveries during staffing shortfalls, with the assistance of CMO staff for validation of findings

Assists CMO staff with daily administrative duties to include but not limited to meetings, team calendars, business travel, access requests, and meeting coordination

Provides the CMO team with advice and assistance with Program Management Reviews, Trafficking In Persons (TIP) inspections and information gathering, and broad project planning

Assist A/CORs with developing and implementing inspection schedules according to PWS requirements

Process information requests, facilitates required reports, support CMO staff, maintains databases on office and CMO issues, supports time and attendance documentation preparation and reporting, maintains employee leave information and tracking, and administratively supports temporary duty (TDY) staff

Assemble data and draft certain mission and/or office reports. Proofread and edit all correspondence and materials for proper format, accuracy, and compliance with regulations; maintain and update all CMO and office lists and notices and may be called

upon to take and transcribe notes; respond to inquiries and requests of a routine nature, or directs to responsible party for action

Serves as the custodian of classified and unclassified office files, and maintains section reference library, as well as the office information resource library; maintain office schedules; monitor deadline dates for submission of reports and action related matter; receive and escorts visitors; prepares invitations, applies knowledge of protocol in managing processes and events, e.g. preparing guest lists, invitations, and representation events; coordinates broadly with entry, middle, and senior level partners for preparation and setup

Advise CMO personnel on monitoring the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) as contracts and task orders change; counsel CMO staff on solutions to non-routine problems and identifies problem areas which cannot be resolved at the action officer level

Control office supply stock and reorders as necessary; may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as required of the job across CMO and Mgt connected offices; assist other sections as needed

Contract Management Support Specialist BDSC Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Contract Management Government Logistics Diplomatic Supa. Minimum of a bachelor's degree from a traditional college or ten (10) years of experience in a relevant Logistics/Advisor role is required.

Comprehensive knowledge of logistics systems and responsibilities. Port Services Program Coordination Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)

Daily routine uses and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Must be able to organize routine data and maintain established procedures.

Must be able to work with all levels of personnel working in diplomatic environments, general public and operate with tact and diplomacy. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication skills and work well in a collaborative environment.
