Financial Analyst - TASSC III

R&K has the opportunity to provide financial and contract management support to the Government for the Technical Acquisition Support Services Contract (TASSC) III in support of the SLD 45/Program Management Division (SLD 45/PMD) and Space Launch Delta 45 Contracting Squadron (SLD 45/CONS). The TASSC III team provides cross-functional integration, contract and financial management and administration, and p rovides maintenance contract management and technical expertise in contract administration, financial analysis, and database management.

R&K is seeking a Full-Time Financial Analyst.

Note: This position is contingent upon award

Title: TASSC III Financial Analyst

Locations : Patrick Space Force Base, FL and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL.

Duration: Permanent/Full-Time

Clearance: Active SECRET clearance

Start Date: 9 September 2025, contingent upon award

Duties: The successful candidate shall serve as the primary point of contact for financial analysis for the TASSC III contractor team. The TASSC III Contract Specialist shall successfully execute all financial support actions in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This individual is tasked with providing oversight of financial activities and ensuring program objectives are met in accordance with cost, schedule, and quality standards. The individual will provide inputs to strategic guidance, support the management of resources, conduct contract actions, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

The candidate shall:
  • Develop and implement accounting policies based on OSD and DAF regulations, analyzing financial results in accordance with GAAP, and providing strategic insights to assess the financial health of SSC.
  • Key duties include managing year-end closeout activities, resolving accounting discrepancies such as DEAMS overspent conditions, and coordinating with DFAS to resolve issues and improve system accuracy.
  • Oversee reimbursement balancing, manage lines of accounting (LOA), and lead the quarterly dormant account review.
  • Prepare briefings, spreadsheets, technical/reports or papers, related to accomplished financial analysis, to support reviews and meeting; provide general support for conferences and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
  • Participate and contribute ideas, recommendations, and expertise for SLD 45/PMD or SLD 45/CONS Process Improvement Meetings (PIMs), Multifunctional Teams (MFTs) and Financial Management Meetings supporting the managed contract and program management portfolio(s)
  • Provide comprehensive financial review of all contractors charging and invoicing for assigned contracts. Support a weekly reconciliation of contractor charges to specific Job Order Numbers (JONs) recorded in the Government approved accounting system with charges identified in the Contractor's approved management system.
  • Maintain a monthly documented log of Government work requests, which could include the following: date of the requested task, the assigned agency or program for which the request will be performed, the scheduled date of completion, and the actual date of completion.

Requirements: The candidate shall meet the following qualifications:
  • Possess strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work within complex accounting systems like Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), Comptroller Financial Information System (CFIS), Commanders' Resource Information System (CRIS), FMSuites, Government approved Accounting System, appropriations, stages of accounting, accounting principles with the ability to analyze financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies, recommend improvements, substantiate financial transactions and maintaining accounting controls.
  • Must have at least four (4) years of experience in program financial analysis and a working knowledge of Government accounting/financial systems listed in the above paragraph.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have work experience in Department of Defense (DoD) DAF FM processes. The candidate should have solid experience executing and reconciling financial transactions, particularly within both the DAF legacy accounting system and DEAMS.
  • Strong knowledge of DAF FM is essential to effectively collaborate with FM professionals at all levels of the command-whether at the program office or base level-many of whom may not have an accounting background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint; effective in written and oral communication; ability in working independently with initiatives, problem solving, working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills, Competencies, and Education:
  • Experience in resolving complex accounting issues is critical, including challenges such as invalid LOAs, aged invoice reports, CSR overages, DEAMS overspent conditions, NULOs, and reimbursement imbalances.
  • The ideal candidate should be well-versed in funding document accounting at various levels, with particular expertise in working with DFAS and handling multiple colors of money, including Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), Procurement, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Working Capital Funds (WCF), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), both direct and reimbursable authority.
  • Experience working across different organizational levels-such as base-level, command-level, HQ, and/or program office-is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, along with hands-on FM experience, is strongly preferred.
