Mission Integration Engineer - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Mission Integration Engineer to support one of our partners on a cutting-edge space systems initiatice, on-site in Arvada, CO . This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on bridging customer mission needs with technical implementation across satellite programs. The position is preferred in Arvada, CO, but we are also open to candidates based in Los Angeles, CA or Washington, DC.

Responsibilities for the Mission Integration Engineer include:

• Lead mission integration efforts across multiple satellite programs.
• Analyze customer requirements and identify gaps in current solutions.
• Develop sequence diagrams, prototypes, and other arficats to support integration and testing.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to translate mission needs into actionable features.
• Engage with customers early in the mission lifecycle to shape solutions and provide counter-proposals.
• Work across ground systems, space systems, and software layers to ensure seamless integration.
• Help define and evolve the mission integration function for the broader team.

Qualifications for the Mission Integration Engineer include:

• Experience designing and implementing space systems across multiple missions.
• Strong understanding of ground systems and how they interact with satellite operations.
• Background in software development (experience coding)
• Not a traditional MBSE-style systems engineer - someone who can poke holes in the artifacts.
• Familiarity with sequence diagrams, prototyping, and testing workflows.
• Understanding of secure environments and SCIF operations.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation for the Mission Integration Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 *depending on experience*
