Piper Companies is looking for a Network IP Engineer - Route/Switch to join a leading telecommunications and network solutions provider in a fully remote role working EST/CST hours . The Ideal Network IP Engineer - Route/Switch will be highly hands-on, with deep expertise in lab-based validation, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced IP network solutions.

Responsibilities for Network IP Engineer - Route/Switch:
- Lead validation and testing efforts in lab environments to evaluate new IP routing and switching hardware and software.
- Configure and integrate cutting-edge IP routing and switching products into Tier 1 Carrier environments.
- Lead lab evaluations of new hardware/software and provide critical project support.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues through fault isolation, replication, and resolution.
- Collaborate with Support and Product teams to drive innovation and resolve escalations.
Qualifications for Network IP Engineer - Route/Switch:
- 5+ years' experience as a Network Engineer with a strong focus on routing protocols and switching.
- Demonstrated expertise in lab-based testing, validation, and troubleshooting of IP networks.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Proven experience working independently in lab and production environments, ideally with Tier 1 Carriers.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 3 networks and their application in VoIP environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Compensation/Benefits for the Network IP Engineer - Route/Switch:
- Salary/Rate Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (if required by law), and Holidays
