The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division (NUWCDIVKPT) Detachment Pacific (Code 04/TDC) functions as NUWC's forward presence in the Middle Pacific, Guam, and Western Pacific (WESTPAC) providing Detachment/Site Management in accordance with the Commanding Officer's (CO) letter of delegated authority to provide for program management, planning, policy, and execution of assigned programs and facility operations at the Detachment; monitor Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), physical and information security, personnel administration, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and professional development and morale, environmental compliance, appropriate interaction with all levels of Government and public affairs functions, site and area coordination for emergency preparedness, facilities management and space utilization, site material readiness, proper use of Government equipment and proper expenditure of funds, and adherence to good management practices and controls; manage the Detachment/On-Site Office (OSO); perform Navy programs duties under authority; manage military personnel allowance in accordance with Navy regulations, including Article 15 authority (non-judicial punishment); and serve as the Command's representative to the local installation CO or facility host in negotiating for utilities, security services, and facility maintenance. Divisions supported within this task are Hawaii Fleet Test and Operational Assessment Division (Code 24), Pearl Harbor Torpedo Division (Code 34), and Fleet Technical Support Division (Code 45).
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Engineering Technician VI provides electronic warfare, data links, networks, radios, and other technical support to the Fleet Test and Evaluation Center (FTEC) Facility on the Hawaii Detachments Support Services contract. The FTEC Facility currently supports the Shipboard Electronics Systems Evaluation Facility (SESEF), the Tactical Network Analysis Center (TNAC), Surface Ship Radiated Noise Measurement (SSRNM) Program, and may also support future programs and projects. This position is located in Kapolei, HI.

What You'll Do
- Plan, develop test scenarios, analyze test data, assist in troubleshooting, perform on board technical assists, and provide feedback to the ship for Electronic Warfare systems testing and training.
- Support operations of test and training evolutions at the Hawaii site, along with fly-away support to other locations, to include scheduling, coordination and interfacing with Fleet, Government, and commercial entities.

- Operate Government owned equipment to provide real-time combat system test and evaluation/training services to measure, sustain, validate, and optimize operational readiness.

- Process data and perform analysis for distribution of associated documentation, messages, and reports.
- Support shipboard technical assists for troubleshooting and training.
- Perform maintenance of equipment install, remove, repair, replace, test, and align equipment and tools.
- Perform cytological key user in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain test activity logs and databases, draft reports of test results and perform distribution.
- Prepare and edit technical and administrative documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Receive, process, reproduce, distribute, route, file, and maintain classified and unclassified technical and administrative documentation.
- Receive and distribute Defense messages. Aid in drafting and sending of Defense messages. Work with authorities to obtain date, time, groups, and other administrative actions necessary to send these messages.
- Support equipment/material requisitions including conducting market research (i.e., FEDMALL, MILSTRIP, commercial, internet, etc.), completing forms, and providing pertinent information to
- Government representative to enter into Navy ERP.
- Provide training utilizing researched data and data files and data reports collected during tests and exercises.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- Certifications
- Must obtain TACAN Operator/Supervisor Certification within one (1) year of onboarding (training provided by the Government).
- Must obtain AN/ULM-4 Operator Certification within one (1) year of onboarding (training provided by the Government).
- At least five (5) years of experience in shipboard radio frequency, tactical data links, electronic warfare and electronic support measures systems operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and training.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Travel Required ~10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Link Operator or JICO certification, or equivalent experience is desired.
- CSWF (Cybersecurity Workforce) certification is desired.
- Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and operations is desired.
- Experience in electronics and electronic equipment repair is desired.
- Competent tower climber certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) is desired.
- Enhanced Radio Direction Finding Test Set (ERDFTS) Operator certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year) is desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
