The pay range for this position in Colorado is $130,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:
- Advise the SYD 85 staff on network architecture design, configuration management, and quality assurance processes to ensure resilient and mission-critical network systems.
- Work closely with S-Staff teams, System Program Directors (SPDs), and Department of Air Force (DAF) Program Executive Office (PEO) C3BM Stack IPT teams in support of the DAF Battle Network requirements.
- Ensure coordination between network systems, interfaces, protocols, and workflows to optimize operational readiness and interoperability.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks impacting network integration, deployment timelines, and quality assurance processes.
- Perform evaluations to identify gaps in network requirements and provide corrective action recommendations to support mission objectives.
- Assess and resolve challenges within network interfaces to enhance interoperability and the flow of communication protocols.
- Evaluate network engineering workflows for inefficiencies and propose enhancements to design, integration, and testing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of recent experience in developing or managing network integration programs for real-time operating environments.
- Strong understanding of network design, development, testing, integration, and quality assurance processes, particularly for mission-critical systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of network protocols and communication standards, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and VLANS.
- Familiarity with serial communication interfaces such as RS-422 and RS-485, as well as advanced military-grade data bus standards like MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760.
- Experience developing and integrating networks within cloud-based architectures for the DoD.
- Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures.
- Previous experience with networks such as meshONE-T, RedLAN, or SDANet.
- Familiarity with coordination and workflow platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or similar software.
Certification Requirements, Desired:
- Certification in CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a technical field such as Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree in the same or similarly relevant technical area, or equivalent experience and/or certifications in systems integration, desired.
Security Clearance Level Required:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility is required for this position.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
