@Orchard LLC is supporting a proposal effort in response to a US Department of the Navy (DON) request for support in improving Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measures (SHAREM) and Mine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measures (MIREM) programs. This is a large program tasked with analyzing the performance of Anti-Submarine Warfare sensors and systems, and developing systems and solutions to combat evolving challenges.
As the Systems Analyst/Systems Administrator, you will join a multi-faceted team responsible for assessing the readiness and effectiveness of sensors, systems, weapons, and countermeasures employed in operationally relevant environments. Your team will be responsible for developing the Tactics, Technology, and Procedures (TTP) necessary to combat emerging threats. You will utilize modeling and simulation to evaluate operational situations and challenges and assess emerging technologies to address identified capability gaps.
The Program is responsible for providing.
• Support in designing tactical scenarios with corresponding deliverables in areas of operations to meet specific program goals in the following areas:
o Exercise Concept Brief
o Planning Conference Brief
o Exercise Plan
o Data Collection
o Plan Test Plan Operational Order (OPORD)
o Operational Message
o Quick Look/After Action Report (AAR)
• Support in executing program exercise events and plans.
• Reconstruct exercise events or scenarios to assess outcomes without bias or opinion to generate and reconcile information and provide rapid results.
• Analyze exercise objectives to understand capabilities and performance of sensors, systems, weapons, countermeasures, and coordinated force efforts.
• Assist in the identification, design, validation, and assessment of tactics, technology, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a database repository of findings and results for DOD use.
As the Systems Analyst/Administrator, you will provide
• System administration for the Naval Ship Tracking, Reporting and Analysis Tool (NSTRAT) System, to monitor the application and/or services and troubleshoot issues affecting availability
• Software Engineering and testing to develop NSTRAT updates based on evolving DoD/DON directives (quarterly STIG updates), corrective maintenance, and enhancements
• Cyber Security Engineering to monitor the system per the Risk Management Framework
• Interact with FLANKSPEED hosting services to submit and resolve NSTRAT system trouble tickets
• Performs database entry, management, and monitors automated back-up
• Supports database access for users, and distributes data to supporting/requesting commands
• Performs database query analysis
Position Qualifications:
• Five years of Navy experience managing Navy computer networks
• Three years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server Database software
• Hold and maintain certifications and/or training to maintain FLANKSPEED IL6 AZURE Privileged Access to include:
o AZURE Administrator Associate AZ-104
o IAT Level II IAW DoD 8750 Approved Baseline Certifications
o Others as required by FLANKSPEED IL6 services
o Experience with Azure is desired.
