Duties

  • You will plan, develop and implement long-range, intermediate and short-term supply chain management goals in support of designated business process.
  • You will be responsible for defining integrated supply chain management plans, recommending innovative solutions for possible application to Navy programs/systems and assist in the development of findings and recommendations.
  • You will support supply chain or process owners to ensure compliance with set processes, policies and procedures.
  • You will develop, establish and implement NAVSUP supply chain policy and procedures.
  • You will apply business processes within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying an extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) concepts, principles, policies, functions, and business processes within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) systems. Specialized experience must include the majority of: 1) Optimize processes related to organic repair, inter-service repair, commercial repair, repairables distribution, supply and maintenance integration; 2) Recommend and process policy and procedural modifications to streamline the processing of Depot Level Repairables (DLR); 3) Lead others and gather program requirements for DLR material, advocate for system changes across a multi-SYSCOM environment, and champion solutions that improve the efficiency of the repairable asset lifecycle; 4) Conduct in-depth analyses, reviews, and evaluations of supply management programs, specifically focusing on metrics related to repair cycle times, cost-effectiveness, and the overall performance of the repair network; 5) Proficiently develop reports, metrics, and other data deliverables using database tools such as MS Access, SAS, and PowerBI to analyze trends, track progress, and measure the impact of improvements on repair operations and the repairable asset lifecycle, driving data-informed program recommendations; and 6) Effectively communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders, facilitating informed decisions and promoting buy-in for proposed changes to repair and supply chain processes.
