Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Test Engineer - Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical to lead testing operations at a cutting-edge demonstration facility onsite five days a week in La Porte, TX . The ideal Senior Test Engineer - Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical will play a key role in validating innovative energy technology by leading testing efforts in collaboration with engineering teams and external partners.

Responsibilities for the Senior Test Engineer - Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical
- Lead daily test planning, execution, and reporting for system and component testing.
- Develop and refine test plans, procedures, and schedules based on evolving system needs.
- Oversee facility modifications and ensure systems are fit-for-purpose.
- Monitor equipment health and coordinate updates or replacements to minimize downtime.
- Act as the technical authority during testing to ensure safety and data integrity.
- Respond to anomalies, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications for the Senior Test Engineer - Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical:
- 7+ years of experience in testing complex systems in energy, aerospace, or industrial sectors.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and test planning.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure and collaborate across teams.
- Experience with high-risk systems and engineering change management is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Test Engineer - Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical:
- Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 annually plus stock and bonus depending on experience.
