Leidos, a Fortune 500 leader in the defense industrial base (DIB) with a global footprint and a mission-critical role safeguarding national security, is seeking a Security Program Director for the Global Resilience team located in Reston, VA. Global Resilience is part of the Leidos Security team and serves as the nerve center for international security, travel safety, business continuity, crisis management, and risk mitigation worldwide.

The Program Security Director leads a team of five global analysts overseeing strategic and operational programs that ensure the safety, preparedness, and resilience of the global enterprise. This role blends strategic vision with operational execution, requiring a leader who can engage at the C-suite level while directing day-to-day protective and preparedness operations across a global footprint.

Primary Responsibilities
•Provide strategic leadership over international security and travel risk management, business continuity, crisis and emergency management, and enterprise resilience planning.
•Direct and oversee global risk assessments, situational awareness briefings, and threat intelligence integration into business operations.
•Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of table-top exercises, simulations, and continuity drills for global business units and executives.
•Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership during critical incidents, providing timely analysis and decision-support recommendations.
•Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed resilience principles into global operations, supply chain continuity, and executive travel.
•Manage and mentor a high-performing team of resilience professionals, fostering growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies in risk mitigation and crisis response.

Basic Qualifications
•Degree in Security Studies, International Relations, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or related field plus 15+ years of progressive experience in security operations, crisis management, or business continuity within a multinational or government-related organization.  Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
•Supervisory/Management experience.
•Strong knowledge of international risk environments, travel safety protocols, and global crisis management frameworks.
•Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including production of concise intelligence, situational updates, risk assessments, mitigations plans, and briefing and influencing senior executives under pressure.
•Experience leading crises, overseeing emergency management plans and programs, and/or leading business continuity planning efforts, including proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
•Substantial knowledge of and ability to acquire and assimilate Intelligence Community and open source data and information from Dataminr, Everbridge, OSAC, Department of State, ISOS, CONCUR and other relevant sources and corroborate for accuracy.  
•Ability to travel 25% of the time, including overseas travel.
•Experience with software applications such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
•Current TS/SCI clearance. 

Candidates with substantial knowledge of the following will be given preference:
•Budgeting and project management experience.
•Experience with analytical tools such as Palantir, analyst notebook, VISIO.
•Familiarity with high threat countries/regions, intentions, strategy, and overall threats to travelers, local country nationals, and expatriates.
•Experience coordinating with government agencies, DIB companies, and private security providers.

Pay Range: Pay Range $124,800.00 - $225,600.00
