Strategic Planner
Location: Arlington, VA
Our client is seeking an experienced Strategic Planner to lead programmatic and financial analysis in support of JPM CBRN Sensors to work in Arlington, VA. The analyst will manage cross- functional coordination, budget reporting, and acquisition taskers for a portfolio of advanced CBRN detection programs.
The contractor shall perform the following task(s):
• Document results during concept development meetings, workshops, war games, exercises, and demonstration preparation and execution.
• Review and evaluate draft concept development reports and draft concepts and provide written recommendations.
• Develop and coordinate necessary capability-based assessments and requirements documents.
• Prepare report/concept summaries for NGB CWMD Division.
• Identify potential new ideas for future programs.
• Integrate management and customer perspectives/views.
• Review and analyze new/updated strategic guidance (e.g., National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, etc.) and technology project reports (e.g., experiments, ATDs/Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTDs), exercises, etc.), identifying ideas for new pre-acquisition programs to address gaps in future CWMD/CBRN defense capabilities.
The contractor shall assist in development and execution of exercises and demonstrations to close capability gaps and identify:
• Potential enhancements in military utility from employment of the concept.
• Capability gaps eliminated/mitigated by the concept.
• Available maturing technologies.
• Existing capability documents, if any, that support initiation of a pre-acquisition program.
• Roadmap and decision points for potential transition of the new concept into a pre-acquisition program.
• Estimated program costs for the new program.
Requirements
• Must have an active Secret clearance.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in strategic Combat and Weapons of Mass Destruction activities/management.
• Four-year degree in business, science, technical or related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to brief senior military and civilian leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) to create and maintain documents and communications.
• Travel: up to 25% CONUS
Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
