Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
As a Project Management Professional, you will support program execution efforts within the Advanced Technology Development Center with a particular emphasis on refining program strategic frameworks. This position is a key interface between the Program Management Office and the broader program team to ensure alignment with customer requirements and internal program goals. The candidate should be a self-starter and will support programmatic, integration and staffing solutions at multiple echelons throughout a program organized around an Integrated Product Team construct.
This position is located in El Segundo, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Oversee operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between program management, planning and program analysis
• Analyze processes and provide guidance and direction to implement process improvements to increase program execution efficiency
• Manage high visibility / high impact projects with direct impact to program success
• Establish, manage, and track milestones, roadmaps, inter- and intra-program dependencies, and ensure adherence to master plans and schedules
• Support the various internal and external program reviews throughout the organization
• Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss issues, concerns, and resolution
• Solicit input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. The preferred schedule is a 9-80 schedule. Occasional travel may be required.

Primary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years; OR a master's degree and 6 years; OR a PhD and 4 years of related experience as defined below.
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in: project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
- Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current applicable SAP access.
- Project integration experience
- Experience in SCIF environments
- Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, and/or Jira
- Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee multi-disciplinary teams located in numerous geographical locations.
- Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to use databases efficiently to gather data and analyze reports.
