Essential Job Duties
As an Engineering Lead at SOSi, you will provide leadership and guidance to the IT Engineering Team, which consists of Subject Matter Experts (SME) of both Systems and Networks Engineering. Your role ensures projects/initiatives/tasks are properly scoped, planned, prioritized, resourced, executed, and documented. Oversees the transition of engineering efforts from Design and Implementation to Sustainment and Operation, in accordance with the Service Delivery Lifecyle. Functions as the Operations Person-In-Charge when both the Operations Manager and the Operations Deputy are unavailable or away.

Essential Job Duties
As an Engineering Lead at SOSi, you will provide leadership and guidance to the IT Engineering Team, which consists of Subject Matter Experts (SME) of both Systems and Networks Engineering. Your role ensures projects/initiatives/tasks are properly scoped, planned, prioritized, resourced, executed, and documented. Oversees the transition of engineering efforts from Design and Implementation to Sustainment and Operation, in accordance with the Service Delivery Lifecyle. Functions as the Operations Person-In-Charge when both the Operations Manager and the Operations Deputy are unavailable or away.
- Coordinate internal and external resources required for IT engineering projects, initiatives and tasks.
- Manage Engineering Team, tasks and responsibilities, to include engagements with internal and external parties (e.g., OEM, Vendors) where applicable.
- Provides Tier-4 & 5 support to Enterprise Services.
- Act as a point of incident escalation and coverage.
- Manages proper communication, correction and response internal to the Engineering Team and Cross-Organizational with other Teams and Branches.
- Evaluate new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices that may improve Enterprise capabilities for automation and orchestration.
- Perform supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel. Provide recruiting, onboarding, direction/guidance, training, and assessment of Engineers, and mentorship for administrators and technicians where applicable.
- Regularly collect and summarizes pertinent IT Engineering accomplishments, issues and concerns.
- Participates in and provides feedback to IT-relevant special projects, as required.
Minimum Requirements
- An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelors degree in IT Discipline or 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT Engineering and Operations involving complex classified DoD environments and mandatory security controls (e.g., STIGs) including 5+ years in analysis, design and delivery of complex IT infrastructures.
- DoD 8570 IAT-III compliant (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH).
- Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, Forcepoint, HP, HPE, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware).
- Advanced knowledge in delivery and support to classified VDI/virtual environment platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) including thin-clients and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
- Advanced knowledge in IT security mechanics (e.g., Zero-trust, authentication protocols: MFA/hardware tokens, AD/ADFS, certificates and encryption, auditing, and logging).
- Experienced with implementing/supporting network-related services including DNS, DHCP and Unified Communications (UC) (e.g., Cisco VoIP, Call Manager, dVTC).
- Extended knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and associated secure-access configurations.
- Prior experience with NSA CSfC requirements including Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package (MSCCP) and Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP).
- Prior experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and/or DISA Trusted Network Environment (TNE).
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Able to effectively lead a team within a distributed organizational environment.
- Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT solutions implementation, administration, troubleshooting and support.
- Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT Discipline, or similar.
- Additional IT certifications in relevant technology platform (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HPE/Aruba, ITIL, Juniper, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware).
- Advanced understanding and delivery on storage components (e.g., NAS/SAN storage), data availability (e.g., high availability/clustering, MS DFS-R) and archiving.
- Familiarity with installation and support to Microsoft back-end services in a distributed data center environment (e.g., SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint).
- Extended knowledge of networking (switching and routing protocols, installation, and configuration).
- Prior experience using Cisco, Brocade, HPE/Aruba and Palo Alto network solutions.
- Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Familiarity with C2 applications and program support.
- Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).
