Duties
Help
  • Serve as an advisor on DMHRSi existing and potential capability to support the DHA mission.
  • Prepare and present manpower and personnel request consistent with all interests to meet short and long term goals.
  • Using various databases, run multifaceted queries and create reports using various programs and Structured Query Language (SQL) capabilities.
  • Collaborate with DMHRSi SMEs and Tri-Service/DHA counterparts during testing to ensure issues found during testing are documented and reports configuration management, help desk, test and evaluation issues and concerns to the DMHRSi Program Manager.
  • Write ad hoc queries as needed and shares reports with users as appropriate.
  • Translate and interpret functional requirements to develop reports that will be internet based utilizing SQL reporting tools.
  • Perform quality surveillance of existing reports to ensure they continue to perform as designed.
  • Serve as point of contact for the users of DMHRSi and act as a liaison with higher authority on DMHRSi and labor cost accounting (LCA) issues.
  • Provide functional training for users on the use of created reports.
  • Assist with the development of lesson plans and instructional materials, and conduct training on functional application of preparing manpower, personnel and labor cost accounting data for modules.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated reporting tool/system/application (such as Defense Medical Human Resource Management System Internet (DMHRSi)) to extract data; using multiple databases to run queries; creating reports using various programs such as Structured Query Language (SQL); and assisting others in troubleshooting system issues to resolve problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
