This mid-level role will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications following the complete software development lifecycle. TQI Solutions is actively seeking a Journeyman Software Developer to join our dedicated team supporting Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF (PHNSY&IMF). This mid-level role will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications following the complete software development lifecycle. You will work in an agile environment, directly engage with customers for requirements gathering, and deliver high-quality, secure applications that meet customer expectations and maintain strict information security compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and deliver multi-tier web applications with strong database designs and secure coding practices
- Build applications using C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, .NET Framework/Core, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and Oracle database management
- Implement responsive web design using JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5
- Engage directly with government customers to collect requirements, propose solutions, and ensure approved expectations are met
- Apply agile methodologies with iterative delivery and continuous improvement
- Perform automated and manual unit testing, regression testing, and deliver error-free releases
- Maintain and update existing applications, resolve errors, and develop security patches within specified timeframes
- Follow DoD, DoN, NAVSEA, and PHNSY&IMF security standards, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance
- Document methodologies, SOPs, user guides, technical specifications, and maintain version control/change management
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field; OR 2+ years of relevant software development experience
- 2-5 years of software development experience
- Security+ CE or higher (additional certifications preferred)
- Strong skills in multi-tier architecture, database optimization, data modeling, secure coding, and OWASP guidelines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with the team
- Self-motivated with strong time and project management skills
- Adaptability to evolving requirements and emerging technologies
- May require night, weekend, or holiday support
- Active Secret security clearance required
