Network Test Engineer
The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and sof tware requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network our defense clients need.
As a Network Test Engineer on our team, you'll use your skills to help support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your knowledge as you join our team of problem-solvers to help our defense clients evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.
Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience, you'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

You Have:
- Experience with virtualization, including VMware
- Experience with Windows servers
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with JIRA products
- Experience with networking concepts and technologies such as TCP / IP, HTTP, VPN, LAN
- Experience with PALO ALTO firewalls
- Ability to travel to customer locations and support customer e nga gement locations
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience using and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience using and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience using and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience using and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale
- Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 90 days of start date
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible
- Experience in military or with TAK products
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with help desk operations
- Knowledge of DoD communications equipment and acronyms
- Knowledge of AWS technologies, trends, and best practices
- Knowledge of database concepts
- Secret clearance
- Cisco Certified Network Asso cia te Certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Asso cia te Certification
