Duties
As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS/MILITARY), GS-0201-11, you will plan, organize, administer, and troubleshoot the operation and data base integrity of the Military Personnel Data System in support of military human resources management functions. Perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors, this includes military and civilian experiences, completed education, learned skills, obtained knowledge, endorsed abilities, and training program accomplishments:
*Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately;
* Ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit efficient communication;
* Ability to write English in reports and presentation formats;
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
* Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings;
* Ability to assess body language and perceive emotional and/or distress levels; and,
* Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09). Specialized experience includes: Knowledge of, and skill in applying, a wide range of HR concepts, laws, policies, practices, analytical, and diagnostic methods, and techniques sufficient to solve a wide range of complex, interrelated HR problems and issues. Knowledge of Air Force and Air National Guard standardized procedures and requirements related to operating departmental programs and extensive problem resolution skills for analyzing broad, complex, and controversial issues. A high level of technical skill in personnel systems and knowledge of military personnel policies, processes, and specialty areas, and the ability to relate these knowledges to system processes/functions/capabilities to provide positive assistance in solving workforce issues; to provide advice on organizational structure; to conduct planned, systematic studies to identify long- and short-term needs of serviced organizations; and to help plan organizational or procedural changes. Ability to analyze trends and forecast changes in personnel process requirements that will meet future mission demands.

If you are using education to qualify for this position, at the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

- KANSAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure if you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
