ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator II (Journeyman) to join our team in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization technologies, ensuring their reliable operation and optimal performance
- They install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and implement automation processes to streamline IT operations
- They troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact
- They create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and inventory records
- They perform regular backup operations, implement data protection measures, and maintain disaster recovery and failover procedures
- They provide support to Desktop and Enterprise Service Desk Teams, ensuring timely resolution of desktop application, workstation, and related equipment problems
- They monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and resource use, including capacity planning, storage planning, and database performance
- The Systems Administrator II receives guidance and direction from more senior staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in field necessary to assume Systems Administrator II duties and a minimum of 4 years of relevant Systems Administrator II experience.
- High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
- A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.
- Two years of position-specific relevant experience. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification must be obtained within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering. Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Puppet. Relevant industry-standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, VMware, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
