Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Analyst. This position will be located at our site in Palmdale, CA.

We seek Manufacturing Analysts that use a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the production focal point for management. The selected candidate would be responsible to aid tool creation/continuous improvements for front line leaders, CAMs and senior level leaders throughout the production IPT. Performs projects and analysis that directly support program financials and execution. such as but not limited to rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, CPI/SPI analysis, projects deemed necessary for program execution and financial comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Develops, maintains, and establishes financial review agenda considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing for program leadership. May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by IPT.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Other duties may include:

  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.
  • The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
  • Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories.
  • Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation.
  • Problem Solving Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.
  • Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Discretion/Latitude Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives.
  • Assignments are often self-initiated with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Virtually self-supervisory.

This position can be filled at varying shift times. Shift differential will be paid during eligible shifts.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years in manufacturing, engineering, production or inventory control ; Master's Degree with 10 years in manufacturing, engineering, production or inventory control.
  • Must have an active DOD Secret level clearance, and the ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Clear understanding of EVMS
  • Previous industrial engineering experience
  • Ability to work any shift depending on business needs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Previous OPM experience
  • Composites knowledge (i.e. hand layup, automated layup, cure experience, and/or machining experience)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an engineering environment.
  • SAP knowledge or experience.


Primary Level Salary Range: $141,400.00 - $212,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
