The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $85K/year to $125K/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements and provide support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Experience with procurement software and tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CPPB, CPPO, or CPSM are a plus.
