Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company F-35 program seeks an experienced and motivated candidate who is well rounded and possesses skills across multiple aircraft systems and sub systems. The preferred candidate will be a subject Matter Expert (SME) in the following systems: Vehicle Systems (VS), Mission Systems (MS), Low Observables (LO) and Aircraft Structures. This position will be located in Rygge, Norway at the Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS) depot facility. The candidate will be required to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives in a complex environment to ensure program activities are well coordinated and executed. An ability to explain complex technical concepts in a readily comprehensible manner is necessary. The candidate will be required to exhibit effective and clear communications skills at all levels. Timely communication of project status and emerging issues to peers and management is critical.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Offer daily technical support and expert guidance to depot technicians for all air vehicle systems, avionics, LO, and structures activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and efficient workflow.
• Facilitate coordination with various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as required to address new modifications, issues, and non-conformances, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
• Deliver training to depot technicians and back shops on various topics, including:
o Systems theory of operation
o Structural repairs
o Conductive coating repairs
o Removal and application of LO coatings and finishes
• Assist with ALIS software and data loads, ensuring seamless system operation and data management.
• Provide daily technical and expert support to depot technicians for LO and structures activities.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) to facilitate the dispositioning of non-conformances, promoting efficient and effective issue resolution.
This is an expatriate position and will require full time onsite support in Rygge, Norway. Onsite support starting in January 2026.
Travel and shift work may be required to support tasks.
MUST BE A US CITIZEN. SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 14 years of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Prior experience in fighter aircraft maintenance, operations, and modifications.
• Extensive background in implementing TCTDs.
• Proven experience in coordinating mod/retrofit actions with diverse teams of contractors and end-users.
• Proficient in researching and interpreting modification engineering drawings, manufacturing/material process specifications, and technical data packages.
• Experience with fault isolation and problem analysis at the sub-system level, including troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of F-35 LO concepts and operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of F-35 Structural repairs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position requires special access and requires Active DoD Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years or continuous vetting.
Desired Skills:
• Recent F-35 FSE experience, with a focus on maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations
• Proficiency in various software tools, including: VAS, PDM, CATIA, JEDI, JARVIS, SVMS
• Experience with formal training creation and implementation, including instructional design and delivery
• Knowledge and experience with program change/configuration management and associated change boards for processing change requests with retrofit implications
• Experience with LO materials and processes, including LOHAS and LO verification with Tier II tools
• Aircraft structural maintenance experience, including familiarity with airframe design and coating materials
• Knowledge of NDI equipment and processes
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience collaborating across multi-disciplined engineering and sustainment teams
• Excellent information organization skills, including data analysis and reporting
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, including technical writing and briefing experience
